FSU/Community Connections

Community Connections is part of the EUPJ and works closely with the World Union for Progressive Judaism in Jerusalem and New York. It was set up to support the growth of progressive Judaism in the FSU and encourages communities in the UK to adopt or twin with congregations in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

Community Connections acts as a resource and information centre, working closely with UK congregations to co-ordinate twinnings - including visits between congregations - and to provide information inside and outside the Jewish community both in the UK and overseas.

Community Connections arranges for rabbis, lay leaders and those with specialist skills to attend and teach at seminars in the FSU.

Community Connections maintains contact with FSU rabbis to keep up-to-date with local needs and developments.
